What is going on in the Community:
The Unit Masters students community grew largely in Cohort 10 with over 3100 signups, 600+ certificates issued and minted, and 50+ distinguished graduates from across the globe learning about Blockchain and the token economy. As usual, it was both educative and fun. Students had an opportunity to join the optional buzzword bingo session which helped them become fluent in Web3 lingo. Cohort 10 finished with 25 Active Study Groups spanning across a multitude of topics, industries, and geographical locations from Nigeria to India to the UK. We had some amazing study group leads in this cohort and elected the most active study group based on the number of certificates. We want to congratulate Olga and her study group for winning the final prize (and are excited to announce that she is coming back to lead a study group in Cohort 11)!
Certification ceremony:
The cohort finished with a celebratory event for all the students who successfully completed 6 modules of the program. Besides the certificate showcase, the Unit Team shared a bunch of exciting opportunities coming up for Unit Masters Graduates. We know, this is just the beginning of their journey, and we could not be more proud of the amazing work our graduates have achieved so far!

What was happening at Unit Network in July?
- Michael Healy, the Co-founder of UNIT presented his view on the token economy and how it will help solve wealth inequity at the World Polkadot Forum
- Yip talked about WellBeing in Web3 at MIT and recorded a TEDx Boston presentation which will be released soon.
- We hosted an event with Parity Technologies in Paris to celebrate the awesome women that work in Web3 next to EthCC. Unit cofounder Maira Santos spoke about the Masters, in the room were many alumni of the program that shifted their careers into web3 after the course.
- Yip, Co-Founder of Unit talked about ‘How to get your first job in Web3’ in a webinar hosted by our partner Recruin — you can listen to the replay on LinkedIn here.
- Michael Healy talked about the Token Economy Revolution for TEDxBoston and how Web3 can create a more equitable world. Watch the full video here:
